COLUMBUS, OHIO – Many growers like to think in terms of size, be that length of rows, the square footage of hoop houses – or the eight acres of trade show at the annual gathering sponsored by AmericanHort in Ohio. This year’s iteration was Cultivate’19.

Taking place from July 13 – 16 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, Cultivate’19 featured more than 650 exhibitors in the horticultural industry sharing their products and knowledge as well as workshops, award ceremonies, tours and even a 5K run.

This was the 90th annual gathering of members of the industry, and the four-day event drew in more than 10,000 attendees.

Some of the highlights of the show include the introduction of dozens of new varieties of vegetables, fruits and flowers. New products and supplies are demonstrated by business owners. Perhaps most importantly, growers of all kinds make important connections with others in the field – literally – as well as others who can help them grow their businesses and adopt the newest technology and information.
